Boy it was great to see you one more time.  Hopefully, tonight you could see, hear, and feel what the fans think and feel for you.  Keep it in mind, because I really believe that you'll always have a home in Charlotte.  Perhaps you may want to come home to finish your career when this current contract expires.  Only time will tell.
Gerald Wallace praise over.  Hopefully tonight gave the fans one last look, and a chance to find some sort of closure.
What a game to watch...The first quarter had me laying on the couch, and by the 4th, my throat was on fire and my hands were tingling.  Just an amazing effort by the entire team.  Between Jax testing the hamstring to Tyrus gaining confidence on the floor and shaking rust off, I got a pretty good feeling for the rest of the season.
Bobcats win 97-92.  Keep on reading

I know we won, and I know that Stephen Jackson was on fire in the 4th, but that isn't what this Bobcats team is about now.  It is great to have that go-to scorer, but you have to look at the bigger picture.  5 guys in double figures.  That says a lot.  With a team that struggles to score, scoring coming from everyone is huge.  Jax was good for 29 points tonight, DJ chipped in 16 points and 5 assists, Hendo gave 12 points and 3 steals, and the best of it all...Dante gave us 11 points on 5-6 shooting and Dub gave us 16 points on 6-9 shooting and 4-4 from the foul line.  It is so great to see the "new guys" contributing as well as they are.  TEAM basketball is what we must have if we want to venture into the playoffs.  If we have 2 guys that are new to the program, that can contribute. 27 points off of the bench.  Things can only get better as their time here improves.  We really were struggling as the game began, but that was understandable...at least it was for me.  Any change in a starting lineup, especially the return of your top scorer, can cause confusion as to where the max of your points are going to come from.  As was witnessed, the first 3 quarters was a back and forth struggle, with Portland even building fairly large leads, but the Bobcats stood their ground, put together one heck of an offensive and defensive showing, and came out victorious in the end.  Another big factor in our comeback was the battle of the boards.  A 42-39 edge on the boards were huge because when the Trailblazers would miss, there was NO opportunity to hit another.  A great win and a must win game tonight, and our guys came through.

The Trade Street Post game-breaker award has to go to Stack Jack tonight.  Jackson got hot when it was most needed, and his points in the 4th carried the team to the victory.  I still have to give love to Dante and Dub.  Their hustle stats are something that just doesn't show up in the box score...though their points surely did.  I really hope that everyone is starting to appreciate the talent we received in the trades.  Dante and Dum have really strengthened the bench, and I believe great things are to come.

What's Next?
North of the Border
Next up is the Toronto Raptors.  Let me take this moment to thank them for knocking off the Pacers tonight.  Actually every team that can beat the Pacers and Bucks, we would like to give an atta-boy to you.  www.hoopsheadnorth.com, what is your take on Sunday's game?  My guess is that the Bobcats are a team on a mission, so even though you took out the Pacers tonight, we're coming North of the Border, and we're hungry for our second playoff appearance.  We plan to claw our way through the rest of the season, so look out!

Trivia
What player on the current Bobcats roster once played for another team of the same name back in the late 90s, and what was that team name?
